An Enclosure Experiment

The North chemical suit is extremely well suited (ahhh... that pun) for enclosure experiments. In such an experiment, the body is as much covered as possible. In this sequence I not only had the chemical suit on, but also (starting from the skin) red nylon/PVC rainpants, Dutch army swimming trunks (this stretchy garment serves to keep the somewhat baggy pants in place), a complete rainsuit (yes, regenpak) in dark red nylon/PVC (the hood of it can be seen peeking from under the chemsuit hood), a farmer john style surfsuit by Marlin (light blue, zippers on the leg cuffs), another rainsuit (red/white/blue jacket, blue pants) and finally the poison green colored chemical suit. The pants cuffs from the rainsuit under the surfsuit were taped to prevent them riding up. Two sets of gloves were worn (my trusty Comasecs and a chemical glove set from Norton) and finally those lovely unlined Nora boots on my bare feet. The Norton gloves and the boots were taped to the chemsuit with 2" PVC tape to prevent leakage from moisture gathered within the whole suit thing. For good measure a cotton diaper and "incontinence" PVC short were also put on (at the start, obviously...).

When the whole shebang was put on, the fun started. I didn't have my camera gear ready so I had to scrounge around the house to find those itty bitty little accessories like BNC barrel adapters to connect my long cable runs together, the cables themselves, blank videotape, hooking everything up, adjusting, getting a small floodlight and more stuff like that. Of course just having that suit on was only so much fun, a little incentive was needed and found in a "punishment" (here comes the S/M part...) which involved a gag taped to the chemsuit hood (impossible to remove with the heavy gloves) and some chain. With the chain I connected my wrists together and attached the chain to another one around my waist. Now I was nicely bound and gagged (maybe I should submit this little story to the magazine) and ready for action.

After setting up the TV gear I had run up a nice sweat, and I busied myself moving fetish gear around. Needless to say, I wet my diaper... real naughty! I also drooled over some beautiful pictures just downed from the internet, mostly gorgeous babes in neoprene diving suits (the main reason to include the surfsuit in my outfit). I tried to put on a helmet and a gasmask, but couldn't succeed with my fettered hands. Finally, some two hours in the suit, I had enough of it and started to take it all off. First, I removed the chain around my waist and brought my hands in front of me. Real complicated with boots on and several layers of rainwear!

Using scissors, I cautiously removed the tape from my wrists so I could take off the gloves. Black moisture splattered all over the bathroom sink. I took out the gag and started to peel off all my clothing. While undressing I turned on the shower and cleaned my stuff and myself. My lips were all dented from the gag, I had marks all over my body from the seams and wrinkles of the raingear which had been pressed onto my body by my very tight surfsuit. My boots were full of liquid and had to be emptied in the drain... What an experience!

So, what did I learn from this experiment? Well, it looks like the PVC tape is not as waterproof as I expected: on both gloves a trickle of water was observed. Apparently along the creases in the chemsuit some moisture finds its way outside. This could be solved by applying more tape, and to start wrapping the tape from the elbow towards the wrist. The gag was applied correctly, as in not too tight. After all, it was secured not only by the two buckles in my neck but also by the tape wrapped around my head. Finally, the amount of clothing I had on was not hampering my movements all too much. Even with my wrists locked in chains behind my back I was able to set up all the video equiment. Next session I'll try another chemical suit (the white one) and different tape (I had to edit out all the logos on the pictures, they were misprints from my work... maybe I'll try "gaffa" tape). I'll also put on more rainwear (or surf gear...), the chemsuit is big enough to accommodate for that. Oh, and I have to find a better way to illuminate the scene as all video footage was way too dark!
